The best part of the Inman Conference is hanging out with new and old friends, especially when they live in different states! I thoroughly enjoyed the company of Seattle Realtors Ardell Della Loggia and Kim Harris (her partner in crime), and Kevin Thomlinson, luxury property realtor with EWM in Miami. Ardell mentored Kevin as his coach in ActiveRain's Project Blogger, so the discussion over crab cocktails, clam chowder and delicious cioppino at the Fisherman's Wharf was fascinating.
- Don't post anything in a blog you're not comfortable the world knowing.
- Be yourself. Don't worry about trying to create an image or to seem a certain way. Buyers and sellers are normal people who want to work with and connect with other real people. So forget the stodginess and let them see you're real.
- Don't put so much emphasis into the car you drive. Although some brokers are convinced all their agents must by the newest, flashiest car, drive what you like and be sensitive to your target market (as opposed to just trying to impress their socks off)
- Remember to have fun as an agent.
- Respect yourself, respect your value, respect your clients, and know when to say no.

Hi Sara - love the points you made in this post, and thanks for sharing that picture. I bet that was a very entertaining and enlightening dinner you had with that group. Love the last 2 points - so very important to always remember.

Just a simple dinner with friends, but clearly on of the two highlights of the trip. The other being taking the decals off the BlogTourUSA RV with Joe and Rudy, Kim and Kevin.
Here's my observation. The people I already liked from their blogs...I also liked in person. The people I wasn't crazy about from their blogs...I didn't like in person. Your online persona is not different from your real life persona. Rarely is it not a match.
That's why blogging will attract the clients you like most...or you deserve most :)
Great meeting you Sarah. Can't wait to see your Active Rain Podcast Interviews. You were awesome at podcasting!!
Hi Sarah, It was great meeting you. Glad you liked the food---I liked the company..
