Double bonus Points!!! Can you name this??? A modern egg?

 Tato

It does rather look egg-like, but no, this is not the future offspring of some android-ostrich. Can you name it??

Possible answers:

1) A special pouch for packing down comforters with a zipper seal,

2) A modernist, super-light carry-on suitcase that has three multi-directional mini-wheels and a compact extending handle-grip,

3) A new temperature-moderating urban composter that can be placed in a cupboard or under the sink, remedying the requirements of property ownership/leasehold estate with land...

TatoIf none of these sound right to you (bummer!!! I agree, I really liked the idea of an "urban under-sink composter") that's because these pieces are actually modern designer Denis Santachiara and Enrico Baleri's Tato Collection flexible seating. This piece above is the Tato DS 855. Other pieces include the spherical Tatino ED 860 and the longer Tatone ED 870. Tatino

Is it furniture or child's play? Louise Campbell's seesaw

Just the sort of thing that fits perfectly into a modern Seattle lifestyle...

For those with expansive, modernist homes, Louise Campbell's modern take on good ole' fashioned seesaw makes it on-limits for those above 12.

Manufactured by Erik Jorgensens Mobelfabrik and constructed with upholstered wood and steel frame, this delectable piece was originally designed for lounge and waiting areas, where strangers are encouraged to intermingle beyond their normal boundaries. Believable, as Louise claims:

"Sitting alone on the seesaw is awkward, sitting two or more is a hell of a lot of fun!"

Blessings in small doses

Today I find myself at the "Bright and Bold" in Renton, a coin laudromat where I wash towels, casual wear and intimates in light of the plumbing problem in my new home's laundry room. It's near possible to locate a coin laundry in Bellevue (but no problem at all to find cleaners who are willing to do laundry service. However either I'm a prude or it's just too weird to have someone else do my intimates). I've been thinking about just how blessed we are. I could compare myself to the next person, to either feel good about what I have or to feel bad, but I don't think that's right either. It's not "either I have more or I have less, as if we are either above or below zero (or a zero sum game). Gratitude is win-win. I could have nothing, but i have something. Whether I claim I deserve it doesn't matter (or change anything than maybe my ability to appreciate my blessings). If others have more or less, I still have what I have. And they are still worth appreciating.
